**Students Celebrate Literacy Week with Creativity**

Sarasota County Schools have marked Literacy Week with a variety of creative activities that engage students in combining literacy with other forms of expression. At Wilkinson Elementary, students explored the connection between texts and visual art, promoting creativity alongside their reading skills. Brookside Middle School's IB Language & Literature students showcased their passion for reading by designing unique and personalized bookmarks.

Meanwhile, at Glenallen Elementary, art students used the principles of art—including line, shape, and color—to transform words into vivid artistic expressions. These activities reflect the schools' innovative approach to celebrating reading and creativity during Literacy Week.
