**Brookside Middle School Students Visit Sarasota County Schools Farm**

Students from Brookside Middle School recently took part in an educational excursion to the Sarasota County Schools Farm. During the visit, they explored the impact of development on ecosystems and wildlife. As part of the trip, the students observed trees that had been planted by students in the 1950s, providing a historical perspective on the site's environmental efforts.

Additionally, the group had the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning by tasting sour oranges directly from the trees. This visit to the farm highlighted experiential learning and environmental education.
