**Sarasota County Fire Department Hosting Open House This Saturday**

Residents of Sarasota County, mark your calendars! The Sarasota County Fire Department Station 8 is inviting the community to an Open House on Saturday, February 15. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SCFD Station 8, located at 840 Apex Road, Sarasota.

The event promises to be an engaging and educational experience for attendees. Families and individuals are encouraged to stop by for car seat safety inspections, bike helmet fittings, and to learn valuable fire safety techniques, including hands-only CPR. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet local firefighters, explore fire apparatus, and participate in a blood donation drive through SunCoast Blood Centers.

The event is being organized in collaboration with Sarasota County UF IFAS Extension and Safe Kids Florida Sun Coast, with a strong focus on promoting safety and community awareness.
