**Sarasota County Schools Begin Annual School Choice Process**

Sarasota, FL – Sarasota County Schools have announced the start of their annual Controlled Open Enrollment/School Choice process for the 2024-2025 school year. Beginning in early February, this initiative allows families to apply for their children to attend a public school outside of their designated attendance zones.

The School Choice program is open to families with students in kindergarten through 12th grade who are looking for opportunities to enroll in schools that offer specialized programs or areas of interest. While many families opt to enroll their children in schools within their assigned attendance zones, others take advantage of the program to explore alternative academic programs or campuses that better suit their needs.

In a statement, Sarasota County Schools emphasized the opportunity this provides for students and parents to select the learning environment that best supports their educational goals. Additional details on the process and deadlines are available through the school district’s website.
