**Sarasota County Promotes Heart Safety During American Heart Month**

February is American Heart Month, and Sarasota County Emergency Services is taking proactive steps to raise awareness about heart health. The organization is encouraging residents to learn CPR and download the PulsePoint Foundation app to help prevent deaths caused by sudden cardiac arrest.

In a recent effort to educate the community, the Sarasota County Fire Department visited Lakeshore Village Condominium to conduct a Hands-Only CPR training session. A total of 23 residents participated in the training, which also included instructions on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

The county's initiatives aim to make Sarasota a heart-safe community. For residents interested in supporting these life-saving efforts, learning CPR and getting involved through available tools like the PulsePoint app are simple but impactful steps to take.
