**Pamela Schmidt Named 2025 School-Related Employee of the Year**

Pamela J. Schmidt, the Records & Evidence Specialist for the Sarasota County Schools Police Department, has been honored as the 2025 School-Related Employee of the Year (SREOY). This prestigious recognition highlights her significant contributions to the school district and surrounding community.

In her role, Mrs. Schmidt is responsible for managing police records and training School Resource Officers. She also teaches Crime Scene Investigations at Suncoast Technical College. Beyond her professional duties, she actively mentors, engages as a guest speaker, and supports students and families in the community.

As part of her award, Mrs. Schmidt has received a lease on a new Bronco Sport, courtesy of Sarasota Ford and Tandem Construction, along with a cash prize. She will also compete for state-level recognition in the coming year.

The Sarasota County Schools district extends congratulations to Mrs. Schmidt and expresses gratitude to the sponsors who made this recognition possible.
