Wellen Park High School in Sarasota County held its topping-out ceremony, marking a significant milestone in the construction of the new campus. The school, expected to open in August 2026, spans 81 acres and will include a three-story academic building covering 325,000 square feet. The design also features a complete athletic complex, advanced Career and Technical Education programs, a marine biology lab, and a performing arts center.

The ceremony acknowledged the contributions of the construction workers and highlighted the roles of Willis Smith Construction and Zyscovich Architects in the project. The event represented a key step in developing a facility aimed at serving the community with modern education programs and resources.
