Sarasota County Completes First Week of Hurricane Preparedness Training
SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — The county's emergency management team completed week one of two weeks of intensive hurricane preparedness training, leading hundreds of county employees and partners through the first week of the program.
The training covered emergency alerts and warnings, points of distribution, evacuation center and medically dependent program training.
“We’re one team and another step closer to being READY TOGETHER,” officials said.
One thing residents can do today to prepare for hurricane season is to learn their evacuation level. They can look up their address using the know your level tool on the county’s website at scgov.net/beprepared.
