Sarasota County honors EMS workers during National EMS Week
Sarasota County Emergency Services says National EMS Week runs May 17-23. The department says it proudly recognizes and thanks the Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics of the Sarasota County Fire Department during the week.
Officials note that the Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics respond to more than 180 emergencies each day and transport more than 100 patients to area hospitals.
The statement says these responders are prepared with training and compassion and that they bring calm to patients’ most critical moments. It adds that their dedication saves lives and strengthens the community.
The county says it is grateful for all that the firefighters and medics do and that it’s proud to have them serving Sarasota County. The post includes the hashtags #SRQCountyES and #NationalEMSWeek.
