The Sarasota County Board of County Commissioners declared the week of May 17–23 National EMS Week during the board's May 5 meeting.

Sarasota County Fire Department personnel responded to 67,504 total calls for service, 54,418 of which were EMS calls, and transported 38,298 EMS patients in fiscal year 2025.
