**Local Educator Spotlight: Mrs. Stephanie Stuckey of Emma E. Booker Elementary**

Sarasota County Schools recently featured Mrs. Stephanie Stuckey, a dedicated 2nd-grade teacher at Emma E. Booker Elementary, in their #TeacherTuesday series for the 2024-2025 school year. Mrs. Stuckey has been a central figure in education since beginning her career in 2007. Starting as a paraprofessional and Media Center technician, she later returned to college to complete her degree and step into the classroom as a teacher.

Mrs. Stuckey’s passion extends into all subject areas, but she particularly enjoys teaching writing. She values helping her students explore their creativity and develop their voices through their written work. Celebrating student achievements is a cornerstone of her approach, and she uses a variety of methods to do so, including positive notes sent home, personal messages, class-wide celebrations, and fun activities like treasure box rewards and class cheers.

When she’s not shaping young minds, Mrs. Stuckey loves spending time with her family. Her commitment to fostering a welcoming and caring atmosphere resonates with students, colleagues, and parents alike.
