Sarasota County Fire Department’s Fire Safe Program recently recognized its Fire Safety Instructors. The instructors, who help educate children about fire safety, received certificates of completion for the Fire Safety Instructor program. They play a role in public education by teaching fire safety, hazard recognition, and emergency procedures at schools and community events throughout Sarasota County.

Acting Battalion Chief Jesse Schilling, Fire Chief David Rathbun, and Public Education Coordinator Michael Rodrigue were present at the event. Instructors pictured at the ceremony included Jacob Morris, Brian Perdue, Ryan Firestone, Jennifer Jackson, and Christopher Savoca. Additional instructors recognized at the event were Bryan Boley, Christopher Hunt, Dan Dabringhaus, Andrew Leib, Nathan Severe, Nicholas Kaskiw, Tyler Shapiro, Charles Reynolds, Nathaniel Atkins, James Platt, Kyle Stuart, Kaleb Smith, and Kayle Carrigan.
