Sarasota County Urges Indoor Safety Amid Lightning Threat

Sarasota County Emergency Services has issued a public safety announcement during Severe Weather Awareness Week, focusing on lightning safety. County officials advise residents to move indoors immediately when thunder is heard. They recommend stopping all outdoor activities such as swimming during a storm and seeking shelter inside an enclosed building.
