The Sarasota County Fire Department is seeking applicants for the positions of Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic. The starting salary for Firefighter/EMTs is $54,088, while Firefighter/Paramedics can start at $71,088. Salaries may be higher based on qualifications and experience.

Benefits for employees include paid leave, post-retirement healthcare, tuition reimbursement, health and wellness programs, as well as medical, dental, and vision insurance. Employees are also eligible for FRS retirement.

Sarasota County Fire Department offers 24/48 work schedules, along with a Kelly Day off every seventh shift.
