The City of North Port is seeking individuals, organizations, and businesses to participate in its Adopt-N-Shop program this holiday season. The program allows adopters to provide support and gifts to local families in need.

Carol Valdez, Programs and Life Skills Specialist from the Social Services Department, discussed the program's goals, emphasizing the importance of community involvement. Adopters will receive information about the families, including names, children's ages, and gift preferences. Participants can shop for gifts and may also include food items for the families.

Registration for the program is open until November 30. Interested parties can sign up at NorthPortFL.gov/SocialServices. Additionally, a podcast discussing the initiative is available at the provided link.
