The Sarasota County Fire Department is hiring for the positions of Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic. The starting salary for Firefighter/EMTs is $54,088, while Firefighter/Paramedics start at $71,088. Salaries may be higher depending on qualifications and experience.

Benefits for employees include paid leave, post-retirement healthcare, tuition reimbursement, health and wellness programs, and medical, dental, vision insurance. The department also contributes to the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and offers a high-risk multiplier along with an option to participate in the Deferred Retirement Option Program.
