The City of North Port's Social Services Department is hosting two holiday programs, Home for the Holidays, which are approaching quickly.

The Adopt-N-Shop program invites individuals, businesses, and homeowners' association communities to adopt a family for the holiday season. Participants will receive details about the families, including names, ages, and gift preferences, and will then be responsible for purchasing gifts. Interested parties can sign up for the program via the provided link.

Additionally, the Senior Giving Tree event will take place on December 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Port Community Education Center, located at 4940 Pan American Blvd. Seniors who attend will be treated to a complimentary meal and games. Registration for the event must be completed in person at the Social Services Division office, found in the Family Service Center at 6919 Outreach Way.

Registration for both programs will close on November 30. For further details, individuals can contact Social Services at 941-429-3700.
