**Teacher Tuesday: Spotlight on Mrs. Crawford at Venice Elementary School**

Venice, FL – Mrs. Crawford, a VPK teacher at Venice Elementary School, is this week's featured educator in the Sarasota Schools. Originally from Altamonte Springs, Florida, she attended the University of Central Florida (UCF) before beginning her teaching career.

Inspired by her own teachers during her childhood, Mrs. Crawford aims to be a similar support for her students. She enjoys being one of the first educators in her students' lives, helping to lay the foundation for their educational journey.

Mrs. Crawford expressed her passion for teaching: "I became a teacher to be in the corner of the smallest people, navigating what feels like the biggest challenges. There's something truly special about this role, and I love making it memorable for my students."

In addition to her teaching, Mrs. Crawford enjoys roller skating along the Legacy Trail or visiting the skating rink with her family and friends.

For her students, she has a fun fact: Pre-K songs frequently occupy her mind, including Snoop Dogg's child affirmation song, which she humorously describes as "the worst… but also the best!"
